F.A.I.T.H. COUNTY COUNCIL CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRE 2020
F.A.I.T.H. is calling on the Volusia County Council to create a countywide Workforce Housing Trust Fund, which would set aside money to be distributed in grants to projects that create, renovate, and/or preserve rental housing that would be affordable for individuals and families making 80% or less of the Area Median Income (for example: a family of 3 earning $44,100 a year or less).
Ahead of the November 3rd General Election, F.A.I.T.H.’s Housing Committee asked each candidate running for County Council to state their position on the creation and financing of a Workforce Housing Trust Fund in Volusia County.
Each candidate was emailed these 2 questions on July 18th and were given until August 1st to submit their answers to each question in the format of either “yes” or “no”.
F.A.I.T.H. does NOT endorse any candidate for public office. The purpose of this questionnaire is to educate F.A.I.T.H.’s membership, as well as the public at large, about each candidate’s stance on the proposed Workforce Housing Trust Fund.
